If you've been bragging about your secret family recipe, and know you have the chili the world has been waiting for, now's your chance to prove it! Join some of the best chili chefs around on Saturday, January 28th, 2006 - 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Atlantic Connection in Oak Bluffs for one of the biggest chili cook-offs in the East!
Yup, it's that time of year again: time to grab your tickets or better yet - enter the 20th annual Big Chili Contest, brought to you in association with the Atlantic Connection, Oak Bluffs. Really big trophies will be awarded in both professional and amateur classes, and other prizes will be awarded in other special categories.
Add in over 1000 chili-dippin' fans and a Mariachi Band, and you've got one giant habanero of a wild, one-of-a-kind party event -- and all for charity! Last year's event raised $17,000 for The Red Stocking Fund for needy Martha's Vineyard families.
It's also one of the last ever events at the legendary "AC" which will turn into an arcade this summer. Many fans are bummed, but that's the way it goes sometimes - all the more reason to get your tickets early and raise the AC roof for the last time.
For ages 21+ only. Tickets are $20 and on sale on the Vineyard at Vineyard Home Center on State Road, Vineyard Haven, and at Season's Eatery and Pub on Circuit Avenue, Oak Bluffs. Limit 4 tickets per person. Tickets are sold out on the Cape, and are no longer available by mail. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event.
